DA's Special Screening of 'Inequality for All' at IFC

February 12, 2014
The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad presents a special screening of 2013's award winning documentary Inequality for All on February 15th, at 2 pm at the International Friendship Club.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - 2013's award winning documentary Inequality for All is back by popular demand! The film follows former US Labor Secretary Robert Reich as he looks to raise awareness of the country's widening economic gap - a must see for ALL Americans.

Inequality for All - A passionate argument on behalf of the middle class, this documentart features Robert Reich - professor, best-selling author, and Clinton cabinet member - as he demonstrates how the widening income gap has a devastating impact on the American economy. The film is an intimate portrait of a man who's overcome a great deal of personal adversity and whose lifelong goal remains protecting those who are unable to protect themselves. Through his singular perspective, Reich explains how the massive consolidation of wealth by a precious few threatens the viability of the American workforce and the foundation of democracy itself. In this "Inconvenient Truth" for the economy, Reich uses humor and a wide array of facts to explain how the issue of economic inequality affects each and every one of us.

Join Democrats Abroad on Saturday, February 15th, at the International Friendship Club for the special 2 pm screening.

Get rid of all notions of "Republican vs Democrat" before you go because it's really all about the economy and those with money who really run the show. Robert Reich is thoroughly likable and entertaining. This movie will give the viewer the logical framework behind the changes the USA has experienced since the Great Depression, through the crash of 2008, and up to today. It is wonderfully done and belies the old adage that economics can't be interesting and visual.

Many of you will want to participate in the post-movie discussion led by Tobe Jensen.

The International Friendship Club is located in Edificio Parian del Puente #13, Calle Libertad Corner Miramar, Downtown Vallarta by the bridge (entrance is up the stairs between HBSC bank and “La Fuente del Puente” Restaurant)Seating is limited. You can reserve by email to GOTVfromAbroad(at)yahoo.com. Tickets at the door will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis for remaining seats. Donation tickets are $60 pesos per person.
