March 7, 2014

As part of their Every Tuesday Movie Night Film series, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad will present 2013's award winning movie, 'Mud' at the Paradise Community Center on March 11th at 7 pm.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - As part of their Every Tuesday Night Film series, the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad presents 2013's award winning drama, Mud. This documentary-style film will be shown at the Paradise Community Center on March 11th, at 7 pm.

Mud - Directed by Jeff Nichols, this engaging coming-of-age movie is a timeless adventure about two boys, Ellis and Neckbone, who find a mysterious outlaw named Mud (Oscar winner, Matthew McConaughey) hiding out on a deserted island in the Mississippi River. Described by the Wall Street Journal as "a newly minted American Classic," Mud's fantastic tales of killing a man soon come true as the town is besieged by bounty hunters after Mud's blood. Review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a score of 98%, based on reviews from 150 critics, with the site's consensus: "Bolstered by a strong performance from Matthew McConaughey in the title role, Mud offers an engaging Southern drama that manages to stay sweet and heartwarming without being sappy."

Gates open at 6:00 pm and all films begin at 7:00 pm.

Don't miss your chance to see this fascinating film, presented by the Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad. Advance tickets are available prior to the show Tuesday through Saturday between 9:30 am and 2 pm at the Paradise Community Center for donation of $60 pesos.
