Information for US Expats Planning to Vote from Abroad

March 25, 2014

Should you need to re-register to vote, go to VoteFromAbroad.org. If you need local assistance, Democrats Abroad volunteers will be available on April 9th and 11th from 10-2, at four Banderas Bay area locations.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - In 2009, the MOVE Act was signed into law. This act requires everyone who casts his/her vote from abroad to re-register in many states for every federal election year. This means that each American citizen who lives abroad should determine if they need re-register to vote in the state where you last voted.

One way to do that is to check at canivote.org, select the state you voted in last, and follow the links to your county.

Should you need to re-register, go to VoteFromAbroad.org. If you need assistance, volunteers will be available in the greater Banderas Bay region on April 9th and 11th from 10-2, at the following locations:

• Mail Boxes Etc. - 2 PV Locations: Plaza Molino de Agua & Ignacio L. Vallarta 130 Local 3
• Plaza Peninsula - Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio, PV, just north of the Pitillal River
• Philo's Bar and Music Club - Delfin #15, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle

For further information, contact John Wilson-Bugbee at wbeegood(at)yahoo.com.

With country committees and local chapters in over 80 countries around the world, Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for the millions of Americans living outside the United States.
