Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Moroccan cuisine is rated among the best in the world, and rightly so. There are few places where food is more carefully and artistically prepared, more delightfully served, and more enjoyed than in Morocco - unless you happen to be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this week!

From June 18-23rd, Daiquiri Dick's Summer Sizzle menu features Moroccan cuisine. Influenced by Morocco's interactions and exchanges with other cultures and nations over the centuries, Moroccan food is incredibly diverse, and you can sample three courses of this exotic fare with Berber, Moorish, Arab and Mediterranean influences for $299 pesos.

Starter - Primero

• Traditional Lentil Soup with Garbanzos, Tomatoes, Carrots, Cannellini Beans, Ginger and Garam Masala - Sopa tradicional de lentejas con garbanzos, alubias, zanahoria, jitomates, jengibre y garam masala

• Grilled Lamb Sausage with Cilantro Yogurt Sauce - Salchicha de borrego parrillada con salsa de yogurt y cilantro

• Moroccan Salad Sampler with Spicy Carrots, Cucumber and Eggplant with Tomatoes - Tres ensaladas tradicionales: zanahoria, pepino y berenjena con jitomate

Entrée - Segundo

• Roasted Pork Loin with Curry, Garam Masala and Fresh Fig Compote, served with Couscous - Lomo de cerdo horneado con curry, garam masala y compote de higos, con couscous

• Moroccan Chicken B’stilla - Individual Filo Pie with Chicken, Almonds and Herbs, Sprinkled with Sugar - Pay de pollo con almendras y hierbas esparcido con azucar

• Moroccan Fish Stew with Cumin, Ginger, Turmeric, Tomatoes, Garbanzos, Cinnamon and Honey - Estofado de pescado con comino, jengibre, turmeric, jitomates, garbanzos, canela, miel

Dessert - Postre

• Mint Tea & Hibiscus Flower Granita - Granita de menta y jamaica
• Baklava - Baklava

The essence of Moroccan food is a communal style of eating, with many dishes shared by the family. Mealtimes are very social and eaten at a leisurely pace with much laughter and talking, which makes Daiquiri Dick's the perfect place to discover the cuisine of Morocco.

The Summer Sizzle menu will be changed every week, and the special will run through the end of August. The weekly theme will be a country, like France or Spain, or a region, like the Mediterranean - or there could be a medley, making this summer a great time to take your taste buds on a world tour.
