October News from PV's Purr Project Feline Shelter

October 21, 2015

The first tour is scheduled for November 25, then December 9 & 23, 2015, and every Wednesday in January and February, 2016. For detailed information and to make your reservation, click HERE.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Here's the latest news from Purr Project, a non-profit, no-kill feline shelter located just north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, that provides homeless cats and kittens a recuperative stay with the ultimate goal of adopting them out to loving homes sterilized, vaccinated and disease free.

Featured Feline: Carmela

One hot morning in September, Jose found this teeny kitty in a plastic bag, tied to the shelter gate. Dra. Eva gave her intravenous fluids as she was very dehydrated, and she was soon showing a spunky & playful side. She has been gaining strength in the clinic and LOVES attention so should make a great adoption candidate some day soon! We will be back at Daiquiri Dick’s on Saturday mornings starting November 14th and as always, at Plaza Marina on Fridays from 11 am to 2 pm.

Shelter Tours

We have set the dates for the official shelter tours for this year and we hope YOU can join us on this little Mexican adventure. In addition to meeting some of the 150+ residents out at the ranch, you will see some of the countryside of rural Nayarit and the charming colonial village of San Juan del Valle. All this for only $300 pesos per person (or $20 by PayPal) and we throw in the bottled water and cat treats plus round-trip transportation from one of three convenient meeting points. The first tour is scheduled for November 25, then December 9 & 23, and every Wednesday in January and February. For detailed information and to make your reservation, click HERE.

Upcoming Events: Garage Sale

Our first fund raising event for this season will be another huge garage sale on Saturday, Nov. 7th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, Nov. 8th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Last year almost everything sold out on Saturday, so plan to come early! We’ve been collecting donated items all summer and have a lot of stuff at great prices: Men’s and women’s clothing, household goods, office supplies, Christmas decorations, luggage, handbags, artwork & lots more! Location is in the Marina at Gaviotas 143. If you need directions or have items to donate, contact Linda at info(at)purrproject.com.
