Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - High fashion near the high sea takes place at Daiquiri Dick’s Restaurant, Olas Altas 314 in Puerto Vallarta on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 starting at 10:30 am.

This is the third year for the PuRR Project Fashion Show and Brunch. Elegant, tropical clothing and accessories will be modeled throughout the restaurant.

Designers from local shops will be showing off the latest styles including: Sucesos Boutique, La Santa Boutique, Flirts and original jewelry designed by Sonia Bormann. All fashions and jewelry will be available for purchase during the event.

Tickets are $300 pesos and are available through Vallarta Tickets, at Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant at the cashier's booth or on Saturdays in front of Daiquiri Dick's at the PuRR Project adoption booth. Your ticket price includes a three-course brunch with mimosas, a parade of women's and men's fashions and a raffle with fabulous prizes like a deep-sea fishing tour, gift certificates for local restaurants, a membership to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens, original artwork by local artisans, and much more. You can also try the restaurant's special cocktail, the Catnip Cooler, which contains vodka, fresh watermelon juice and mint.

PuRR Project has over 130 adorable cats and kittens in residence. Donations are the only source of funding to provide food, shelter and veterinary care for these rescued animals and events like this help provide those necessities.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, visit the PuRR Project adoption events. Check them out on Thursdays at the Vallarta Marina Market on the boardwalk between 5 to 9 pm, Fridays at Plaza Marina (the rotunda just outside Comercial) between 11 am and 2 pm and on Saturdays outside Daiquiri Dick's Restaurant from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. All the cats have been sterilized, have all their vaccines, are parasite free and healthy.

You can take a trip to the PuRR Project ranch. In concert with Superior Tours Vallarta you will travel on a roomy, 10-passenger, air-conditioned van, complete with a knowledgeable guide and licensed driver. After the ranch tour we make a short stop in Juan de Valle, a charming little Mexican town near the feline shelter.

For a donation of just $300 pesos, you'll be able to pet, cuddle, hug, nuzzle, pamper and snuggle the little ones to your heart's content. Note that these van tours have been completely funded so every peso of your donation goes directly to the cats.

It kicks off at 9 am at the Superior Tours Office in Plaza Romy, meet in the courtyard, 9:20 am at VIPS in front of WalMart, and 9:45 am at Walmart Plaza in Nuevo Vallarta in front of the AutoZone. The tour dates are every Wednesday in January and February, March 2 and 16 and 30 and April 6, 2016. Tours take about three hours.
