Democrats Abroad Presents Second U.S. Voter Forum

February 9, 2018

With country committees and local chapters in over 80 countries around the world, Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party organization for the millions of Americans living outside the United States.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Costa Banderas Chapter of Democrats Abroad Mexico invites everyone to attend their second U.S. Voter Forum, titled "The Future of the Democratic Party: Opportunities and Challenges," set to take place on February 19 from 1-3 pm at The Jazz Foundation.

The forum features a return of Mike Hais who spoke at our January Forum on Capturing Congress* and Diane Weber, who has been a community activist and a candidate for public office in Washington State. Tobe Jensen, Chair of Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas, will emcee.

Mike returns as a speaker to describe how the Democratic Party has shifted in our lifetimes and what that portends for the future. Hais served as a research executive for Frank Magid and Associates and is co-author of three books on the Millennial Generation and its impact on American society.

Joining Mike will be Diane Weber, who has a Master's degree in Policy Studies from the University of Washington and served 30 years in education and eight years in county government.

The forum will be held at The Jazz Foundation on the Malecón and Allende on Monday, February 19, from 1-3 in the afternoon. This session is planned to be a combination of both presentation, questions from the audience and small group discussion. Food and drink will be available at the Jazz Foundation for those who participate. No charge for entrance.

Come and help us move forward to reclaim community and activate people to take action to shape the future of the election process.
