31st Copa Vallarta Soccer Tournament, May 9-13, 2018

From May 9-13, 2018, one of the most important amateur sporting events in Mexico, the Copa Vallarta soccer tournament, will be celebrating its 31st year of giving young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills while emphasizing teamwork, discipline and fair play.

800 Participated in 2018 Riviera Nayarit Nado Seguro

800 swimmers participated in this year's Nado Seguro 3-5K Open Water Swim Tournament, held last weekend off the beach adjacent to the Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Guadalajara swimmers took the competition by storm, 'taking home the gold' in the 5k categories.

Down Puerto Vallarta Extreme Bike Race Returns May 13

After the first edition's incredible success in 2017, Down Puerto Vallarta is coming back to town, bringing some of the best extreme bikers in the world to the streets of downtown Puerto Vallarta on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 4:30 pm. This exciting event is free and open to the public.

Rams-Chiefs Set to Play in Mexico City November 19

Monday Night Football will feature a game played in Mexico City this coming season. The Los Angeles Rams will act as the home team when they face the Kansas City Chiefs on November 19 at Estadio Azteca. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 pm CT and will be televised by ESPN.

La Cruz to Host 3-5K Open Water Swimming Competition

On April 21, 2018, the beach adjacent to the Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz will host the 8th Riviera Nayarit Nado Seguro 3-5K Open Water Tournament. Swimmers ages 7 to 70 will compete in categories that range from professional and masters to recreational and disabled swimmers.

Ruta Turistica Vallarta Bike Ride Hits the Road April 28

On May 31, 2018, Puerto Vallarta will celebrate its 100th anniversary as a municipality, which presents a unique opportunity to host some very special events. One such event is the Ruta Turistica Vallarta - Bahía de Banderas 30-100k bike ride, set to hit the road on April 28.

Vallarta to Host Association of Tennis Professionals

Thanks to the efforts made by the Puerto Vallarta Trust and the Jalisco Secretary of Tourism, PV has been put on the Association of Tennis Professionals' 2018 Challenger Tour calendar. The city will be hosting the first edition of the Puerto Vallarta Open from April 30 to May 5.

Int'l Sailing Competition Returns to Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta will host the 42nd edition of the Mexican Ocean Racing Circuit, MEXORC, March 9-14 as part of the city's 100th anniversary festivities. The destination is expecting to receive about 30 ocean-type sailboats ranging from 37-70 feet, each with an average of 12 crew members.

From March 14 to 18 Puerto Vallarta will host the National Stand Up Paddle and Paddle Board Championship and Festival, which will result in the picks for the Mexican national team that will represent the country in international jousts such as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
