Vitea Hosts First Becas Breakfast of the Season

October 29, 2013

This season's first Becas Breakfast will be held at Vitea on November 13th. Ask any member of Becas Vallarta for your tickets, or email Polly Vicars at phvicars(at)gmail.com to get yours today!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The rains are over and the pace of Vallarta is picking up noticeably. Both are good signs for the business community and for Becas Vallarta, A.C.

Every year Becas Vallarta sponsors a monthly breakfast jointly with five of the premier restaurants in the city, and this season's awesome schedule is set: Vitea - November 13, 2013 • Mangos Beach Club - December 18, 2013 • Daiquiri Dick's - January 15, 2014 • River Cafι - February 19, 2014 • Coco's Kitchen - April 16, 2014. (March 8, 2014 is reserved for the widely popular Becas Ball - thus no breakfast.)

This first breakfast is always fun for meeting and greeting new friends and old. It features a superb breakfast designed and prepared by the famous owner/chefs Bernard Gόth and Ulf Henriksson, raffle and silent auction with prizes from many of Vallarta's prime businesses.

On November 13, in Vitea's beautiful bistro by the sea, breakfast will begin at 9:30 am. Tickets are the same price as last year, $150 pesos per person, and must be bought or reserved in advance. The affable wait staff will attend your table with the following plentiful breakfast:

• American Coffee
• Orange Juice
• Sweet Breads
• Fruit Plate
• Omelet Alfredo -OR- Chilaquiles with Scrambled Egg
• Bread, Butter and Sauces

While enjoying the delicious breakfast, Becas Members will come to your table with raffle tickets for $50 each or three for $100 pesos.

When soliciting gifts or gift certificates for the raffle or auction, the businesses of Puerto Vallarta, good times or bad, are incredibly generous to Becas Vallarta. They know that Becas Vallarta gives yearly scholarships to 400 young, intelligent students who have no financial security, but great desire for education.

The scholarships begin in the public schools in the second year of junior high, extend through senior high and university as long as the student maintains a grade point average of 8.5, exhibits good citizenship and continues to have financial difficulties.

Help Becas thank the following partial list of donors for the raffle and silent auction. Eat with them! Buy from them! And be sure to tell them Becas Sent You!

• Alexander A Salon • Archie's Wok • Bravos • Cafι des Artistes • Casa Isabel • Cassandra Shaw • Coco's Kitchen • Coyul Licoria • Daiquiri Dick's • Emperador • Flowers to Go • Holistic Bio Spa • Lalo Morales • La Palapa • Lucy's Cucu Cabana • Marcelo Mico's Pilates • Maripepa's Florart • Mary Ellis Painting • Melchor's Spanish School Vallarta • Nacho Daddy • No Way Josι! • Old Town Bistro • River Cafι • Stefan Lσkσs print • Toya's Salon • Trio • Vitea • Xocodiva Artisan Chocolates

Looking forward to a sellout crowd! Ask any member of Becas for your tickets, or email Polly Vicars at phvicars(at)gmail.com.
