TREG Raises $275,000 for Puerto Vallarta Charities

December 1, 2014

With a 'Gilligan's Island' theme, and plenty of flair, Timothy Real Estate Group's Second House Hunters International Screening & Charity Event was a fund-raising benefit for 4 local non-profit organizations.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - The good will of the international community, local business owners and those who enjoy visiting and living in Puerto Vallarta once again took center stage on Monday, November 24th, when more than 600 people gathered at Mantamar Beach Club for Timothy Real Estate Group's Second House Hunters International Screening and Charity Event.

With a 'Gilligan's Island' theme, and plenty of flair, frivolity and friendship, this fun-filled evening was a fund-raising benefit for four local non-profit organizations: Becas Vallarta, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Asilo San Juan Diego Senior Living Center and Vallarta Botanical Gardens.

Attendees enjoyed fabulous food, drink, and the premiere of some House Hunter International Puerto Vallarta episodes, a silent auction featuring some amazing items and over 100 raffle prizes, including jewelry, dinners at local restaurants, Vallarta Adventure Tours, incredible art works, gift baskets, paintings, and gift certificates for all sorts of services ranging from advertising to pilates classes - all donated by local residents and businesses.

Guests also had the opportunity to have their pictures taken with "Gilligan, the Skipper too, the millionaire and his wife, a movie star, the professor and Mary Ann... here on Gilligan's Isle" (or in this case, Los Muertos Beach!), while enjoying lively entertainment throughout the evening and supporting some of Puerto Vallarta's wonderful charities.

Becas Vallarta has helped thousands of children over the last 50 years with scholarships, and this year is helping 409 children. The Asilo San Juan Diego is an incredible facility that offers assisted living services and day care programs for some of Puerto Vallarta's economically disadvantaged senior citizens. The local chapter of Make-a-Wish is a non-profit and tax deductible foundation, whose objective is to grant wishes to children with life threatening diseases who are not expected to reach the age of 18. Vallarta Botanical Gardens is 20 acres of highland mountain splendor, just 30 minutes south of Old Town Puerto Vallarta, that showcases Mexico's abundant biodiversity to its residents and the world.

Thanks to everyone's generous participation, Timothy Real Estate Group's Second House Hunters International Screening and Charity Event raised $275,000 pesos to aid these local non-profit organizations. Our recognition and gratitude goes to all of you, for making this great achievement possible!
