Summer is a Great Time to Visit Puerto Vallarta!

June 4, 2013

June is a great time to visit the Vallarta Botanical Gardens and see the wonderful array of rare plants and orchids or tour the extensive grounds and enjoy their fabulous restaurant.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Our weather was so wonderful during May with much cooler temperatures than normal, and we expect beautiful sunny days during June, ideal for outdoor weddings and activities. Fishing in the Banderas Bay region is excellent right now with fishermen reporting great catches in the bay and in the Pacific.

Summer is a great time to visit Puerto Vallarta as the rainy season usually does not start until July, and then the rains occur mostly in the late afternoon or at night, bringing refreshing cool breezes from the mountains, and we always have the breeze from the sea during the day.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy and you can find great shopping values. The visitors to Nuevo Vallarta should consider taking an ATM bus into Vallarta to spend the day, since taxi rates are very expensive from there and there is very little shopping out there. Most hotels are all inclusive, so their guests miss the experience of the ambience of Puerto Vallarta and the fabulous array of cuisine at the great restaurants here.

June in Vallarta

The International Friendship Club is offering discount memberships for $200 pesos from June through December. They are affiliated with many Puerto Vallarta restaurants and businesses that offer IFC members 10 to 15% discounts when you show your card.

June is a great time to visit the Vallarta Botanical Gardens to see the wonderful array of rare plants and orchids or to tour the extensive grounds and enjoy their restaurant. You can take a bus or drive along the scenic highway to the south.

Don't forget Father's Day is Sunday, June 16th. Treat Dad to a meal at one of our great restaurants or find a unique gift at one of our local shops in downtown Vallarta, which you will find online on the Vallarta Shopping Directory.

Art Events

Save the date of Wednesday, June 12 for a One Night Only Private Art Collection Estate Sale and Silent Auction at Galerķa Vallarta, upstairs at Guerrero 187. Barbara Peters is the owner of Galerķa Vallarta and author of "About Living Your Dream," an informative monthly Puerto Vallarta newsletter.
