Thanks to the customers, cashiers and leaders of local OXXO stores, the $208,204.81 pesos collected for SETAC through the OXXO Redondeo (round up at checkout) Program was the largest amount of money ever amassed for a non-profit organization in the greater Puerto Vallarta region.

150 New Desks Delivered to Ignacio L. Vallarta School

Last week, we reported on Oak Grove District 68 Superintendent, Lonny Lemon, who started a GoFundMe campaign to provide the students at Ignacio L. Vallarta school with 150 new desks, 30 of which were delivered on June 26. The remaining 120 desks were delivered on July 3rd.

Warique Restaurant Hosts Summer Benefit for R.I.S.E.

With summer here, many of our local charities are in need of extra help, so on July 19 from 6-10 pm, Warique Restaurant on the south side of Puerto Vallarta will be hosting a Summer Benefit for the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza. All proceeds will benefit the R.I.S.E. education fund.

Thirty of 150 new desk purchased for the Ignacio L. Vallarta Elementary School, courtesy of Oak Grove Illinois District 68 Superintendent Lonny Lemon's GoFundMe campaign, were delivered on Tuesday. The remaining 120 arrive Monday and Lemon plans to be there to help assemble them.
