Second Annual Pulpito Drag Derby to Run May 21

The first Pulpito Drag Derby was such a hit with locals and tourists alike that the Amapas Junta Vecinal is staging a rematch on Thursday, May 21. This year's event will kick off Vallarta Pride and spill seamlessly into its Opening Party - like an Amapas block-party on steroids.

Better Teeth for Boca: IFC Awards Dental Clinic Grant

At the March meeting of Vallarta's International Friendship Club, President Dan Grippo announced that IFC will be providing $4,000 USD to the new Community Health Clinic in Boca De Tomatlan for the purchase of a dental chair, as well as a dental instrument sterilizer and autoclave.

Several years ago, a few Puerto Vallarta residents visited a kindergarten in Los Rastrojos. The building consisted of a shed roof on the back of a barn, a dirt floor and one wall. Thanks to them, and the Medicine Hat Rotary Club, today Los Rastrojos has a new kindergarten classroom.
