San Sebastian Air & Land Tours
"...far beyond anything we expected!"

Visit the WebsiteNestled in the heart of the Sierra Madre Mountains, San Sebastian dates back to the 17th century, when it was a highly prosperous silver mining town. Today, although the "gold fever" has subsided, San Sebastian retains its colonial heritage as an outstanding example of the traditional ways of living and working in a remote Mexican village.

Tumbling colonial architecture merges with a colorful village square, quaint cobblestone streets and passing mules to create a living museum untouched by time, and an experience that is difficult to surpass.

Vallarta Adventures offers two ways to get to this tranquil town in the Sierra Madres. Breathtaking 15-minute flights offer travelers stunning, panoramic views of the dramatically plunging canyons, verdant mountains and cascading rivers, and relaxing 90-minute road trips by air-conditioned mini van that allow you to enjoy fantastic scenery and typical scenes of rural Mexican life.

No matter which tour you choose, our professional guides will take you on a comprehensive guided walking tour of the village, giving you a complete insight into a life-style long forgotten. Each tour is completed by lunch served in a beautiful 150 year old Hacienda.

RECOMMEND PROBLEM QUESTION
Just wanted to let you all know how much we enjoyed our trip to Colonial San Sebastian. We came to Puerto Vallarta via Carnival and booked this tour with our friends Marc and Sheryl. From the minute we were picked up dock side, to the end of the tour, we were entertained and satisfied. Martin and Gustavo were extremely knowledgable of the Mexican history and they were extremely entertaining as well. Fidel was a masterful driver, and we never at any time felt unsafe, always felt very taken care of. San Sebastian was wonderful. An amazing gem! We bought coffee and the little coffee plantion, and thoroughly enjoyed our onfoot walk, and visiting the museum. Also the \"taste\" of good tequilla! My favorite part was the lunch at La Lupita\'s!! I can\'t tell you how surprised and excited we were, just walking in her beautiful establishment. And that was before the food!!!! I will honestly tell you that for the whole week that we were on our cruise....this was, by far, the most wonderful, enjoyable, and fantastic meal that we had. The food was heavenly, the atmosphere wonderful, and we all fell in love with Negra Modelo beer!!!! Please pass on our thanks to Lupita, as this made a wonderful day, spectacular. Again a big thank you to Martin, Gustavo, and Fidel...they were all very friendly, knowledgable, and entertaining. Thanks again. (Next time, I will book directly with you, as Carnival charges way more than you do directly!) Adios, and muchas gracias.
Mike and Gena Starr
We took the San Sebastian Tour as part of our Carnival cruise. It was definitely the highlight of the entire week! Martin, Gustavo, and Fidel were fantastic hosts. The history and interesting facts they provided were first rate. The coffee from Cafe de Altura is brewing every morning now. I still can taste the wonderful food from Lupita's Comedor. The visit with the town's matriarch was truly special as well. We will recommend this to anyone who will listen, and look forward to trying more of your tours and adventures. Hasta la vista, amigos!

I was privileged to take San Sebastian road tour on May 14. I was very pleased! I consider it one of the better excursions that I have taken. The guides were excellent, friendly and informative. I appreciated the history lesson very much! The lunch was excellent! I plan in talking to my travel agent and recommending this excursion to her.
Judy Kennedy
We took the air tour of San Sebastian on March 6 with Martin. We loved the entire experience. The meal was the excellent. We recommend it highly.

This is a "Thank you" note to tell you how much my wife and I and the couple we were traveling with enjoyed our tour to San Sebastian in mid December. Our tour guide, Martin, was absolutely wonderful and added much to our enjoyment of the day-long trip into the mountains to see the mining town and other sights. Thank you!
Donn Pearlman
Went on your San Sabstian tour. Our tour guide (a girl from Holland) was one of the best tour guides we've ever had the pleasure to meet! She was very informative! She went above and beyond what she needed to explain about the tour. Thank you for the memories!
Steven and Michelle
We took your flight to San Sebastion on Feb 10. It was very enjoyable, your pilot and guide were excellent, informative and proffessional. The trip was one of the highlights of our trip to your country.
Linda Burkitt
San Sebastian is a must for all travelers going or in Puerto Vallarta. The pilot was superb and I love the airstrip in San Sebastian. You land uphill and take off downhill on a strip that is probably 2 blocks in length! Our tour guide, Eddy, was knowledgeable and had an excellent disposition. History is so captivating! A very highly recommended tour...
Li & Richard Edmonton - Canada
You cannot improve on perfection. A perfect day. Best excursion I have been on - going abroad for 30 years.
Matthews - U.K.
A very historic trip. Most interesting and enjoyable! The tour was over too quickly. I enjoyed every minute!
Kane - England
It was so far beyond anything we expected – no need to improve it! The guide could not have been more wonderful, he really made the trip great! Thanks for a fabulous day!
Finn
This was the best tour we have taken here in Mexico. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyed his work!
