United Mothers for the Rehabilitation of their Children A.C., a non-profit association in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, would like to pull your attention towards our altruist cause.
We are Pasitos de Luz, an organization founded by the mothers of disabled children, to achieve their rehabilitation while taking care of their basic necessities, which are difficult to meet due to physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as extreme poverty.

All of these children, without exception, have disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism, Silent Disease and Blindness to name a few. Pasitos de Luz offers these kids 100% FREE services, including special education, medical specialists, medicine, family support, speech therapy, love, day care, physical rehabilitation, nutrition, paint workshops, recreation and hygiene.
Since Pasitos de Luz does not receive any financial state or government assistance, with the exception of DIF (Family Services) in Puerto Vallarta, which provides us with breakfasts for the children every school day, at times we hold a social events to raise funds for the charity. The operational cost of these events are covered by individual contributions from the children's mothers, who find the means to raise funds, or by cash donations.
Our organization is also supported by volunteers and professional services provided by individuals or businesses who wish to help us. However, we still do not have enough. The treatment for the rehabilitation of a handicapped child is a very costly, long term process, and we can't always count on a continual supply of money and resources in order to cover our operational costs.
For now, we are working in a borrowed house and one of our projects is to have our own house where it will be possible to benefit more children, improve our quality and expand our services. We need your help as a volunteer or sponsor, either with professional support or funding. With your monthly donation of only $8 USD, we’re able to achieve a lot for all the children.
We would therefore like to extend a personal invitation to you, to meet us and the children in person, to understand more about our work here, our mission and vision for Pasitos de Luz.

Mamas Unidas por la Rehabilitación de sus Hijos A.C. (Pasitos de Luz) is a Civil Association registered with IJAS (Instituto Jalisciense de Asistencia Social) and Hacienda with authorization from Diario Oficial de la Federación to receive donations and issue official receipts.

Tuesday, November 30th was another wonderful night of Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz at Nacho Daddy. A great time was had by all and another $11,525 was raised towards our goal of $200,000 pesos, bringing the total collected so far for this very worthy cause to $67,454.60!

Bernardo, a visitor from Vancouver, was a recent Pasitos de Luz Charity Bingo winner. The prize? A Teatro Limón gift certificate, which, in his words, led to 'one of the best evenings he has ever experienced in his numerous visits to Puerto Vallarta over the years.'

One hundred and seven people turned out for the November 17th Charity Bingo night at Nacho Daddy, raising another $10,000 + pesos for Pasitos de Luz, a Puerto Vallarta non-profit founded by mothers of disabled children. To date, the total collected for this worthy cause is just over $55,000 pesos!

Considering the Day of the Dead celebrations and the American Election, the third night of Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz at Nacho Daddy had an amazing turnout of over 80 enthusiastic players. A great time was had by all and another $12,184.60 pesos were raised for Pasitos de Luz.

On October 19th, over 150 residents and tourists came out for another great night of Charity Bingo at Nacho Daddy in support of the Pasitos de Luz non-profit organization. Over $17,000 pesos were raised, bringing the total collected for this very worthy cause to just over $30,000 pesos!
